Here's What Our Students Are Saying
“I feel grateful for St. Joseph and their staff, volunteers, teachers and my classmates. God bless St. Joseph and all the people there because they make the world a better place. I learn so much in this class. Now, I can speak about the weather, clothes and visits to doctors. I can ask for help in the supermarket or a public office. The best thing for me is that I can write this paragraph in English. Thank you everyone! I’m so happy!”—Paula
“At St. Joseph Social Service Center, I feel happy to practice writing, reading and speaking English. I need to learn English. It is very important for a better life and to get a job. Thanks to the people who help me. Blessings to all!” —Cristina
“St. Joseph Center, thank you for helping me study English. I started the first level with excellent teachers and classmates. I’m 68 years old and was very nervous, but now I am less nervous. I practice at home and feel more confident.” —Maria
“I am 62 years old and a student at St. Joseph Social Service Center. I study English. I thank all the people who help us and make possible this need to learn English for a better quality of life in the U.S.A. The coordinator and volunteers are excellent teachers with a lot of dedication in their work. Without the support of you and them I would not have achieved so much, for example, my citizenship. When I go to the doctor, work, or many other things that may be simple but were difficult for me. Thank you and God bless you for all your efforts. We appreciate you very much.” —Esna
“My English class is very good. My teacher is very clear with lessons. I need to practice more, to speak in my job with my boss and coworkers. I listen to music, watch TV, learn to write and read in English because I would like to have a good job where I can communicate well with everybody there.” —Gisella
