Urgent Appeal for Food and Funds to Assist SNAP Recipients and Furloughed Workers

As you may be aware, Supplemental Food Assistance (SNAP) funds will not be available to 48,000 people in Union County while the government remains closed. Furloughed federal workers are also in need of assistance. Hunger doesn’t shut down when the government does, and neither will we!

We are already serving more households than ever and expect many more of our neighbors to need our help. We hope that you will join us in this effort by donating food or funds.

Food Program

  • Assorted pasta
  • Assorted cereal
  • Rice in 1-2 lb bags
  • Canned salmon 
  • Canned chicken
  • Oatmeal

Clothing & Household Goods Program

​Items Needed
  • New Men's, Women's, Children's underwear (all sizes)
  • Gently used Men's and Women's tops and bottoms (size 5XL)
  • Newborn or infant gently used or new clothing
  • Sneakers size 9-12
  • Household goods (lamps, kitchenware, linens)

  • Hot coffee cups
  • Paper towels
  • Cold Cups 8oz
  • Toilet paper

Community Support

Summer Camp

  • Bedding for single bed
  • Sleeping bag or 2-3 warm blankets and sheets
  • Pillow and pillowcase
  • Bath towel
  • Washcloths

  • Flashlight and batteries
