The Facilities Supervisor supervises and coordinates the day-to -day maintenance and support of buildings, grounds, and facilities. Oversees the maintenance of the buildings and grounds including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management.

The opportunity:
The Facilities Supervisor supervises and coordinates the day-to -day maintenance and support of buildings, grounds, and facilities. Oversees the maintenance of the buildings and grounds including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management.
Your key responsibilities:
- Supervise/perform maintenance of buildings and grounds including staff and volunteers.
- Develop cleaning and grounds maintenance procedures and schedules and ensure that they are adhered to.
- Schedule and accompany pest control.
- Ensure that garbage and recyclables are removed timely.
- Ensure that snow removal is arranged for the winter season.
- Make minor repairs, as needed.
- Coordinate major repairs e.g. HVAC, electrical and plumbing
- Facilitate projects pertaining to buildings and grounds including soliciting estimates, scheduling, and managing.
- Assist with collection of donations and warehouse inventory.
- Support the day-to-day operations to ensure client needs are met.
Experience:
- 1-3 years of Supervisory experience.
- 5 years of building maintenance experience
- 1 year of warehouse experience and experience operating electric forklift
- Valid Driver’s license required
Ideally you will have:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- A desire to work in a diverse, multi-cultural environment and to serve the community
Other duties as assigned:
- Coordinates Daily set up for services
- Assist with fundraising, as needed.

We are looking for a reliable Maintenance and Groundskeeping Technician to assist with upkeep operations of the agency’s facilities. A great Maintenance & Groundskeeping Technician will have a solid understanding of groundskeeping and landscaping as well as cleaning and maintenance. The goal is to ensure the agency facilities are well-cared for and adequate to support the agency’s business operations.

Job Type: Part-time, 20 hours per week
Schedule: Tues-Friday 12pm-5pm, and Saturday 11am-4pm (schedule is subject to change based on facility needs)

Job requires frequent lifting of objects up to 60 pounds.

We are looking for a reliable Maintenance and Groundskeeping Technician to assist with upkeep operations of the agency’s facilities. Responsibilities
- Patrol the grounds for debris including perimeter along the street and clean as necessary
- Basic landscaping including mowing grass, trim hedges/bushes, edging grounds, rake leaves in autumn
- Manage the trash schedule: trash to street on schedules days and take cardboards/paper to recycling center as needed
- Winter grounds maintenance including shoveling snow, ice removal on grounds and the sidewalks along the perimeter of property (Rebecca Pl., Division St. & E. Jersey St.)
- Drive van as needed
- Floor maintenance including buffing floors as needed (daily/weekly)
- Cleaning bathrooms and kitchen areas
- Van washing
- Other duties as assigned
Skills
- Experience in groundskeeping
- Experience in landscaping
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician or contractor
- Solid understanding of technical aspects of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems, etc.
- Working knowledge of fork lift truck for moving pallets
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - bilingual in English/Spanish a plus
- A passion for helping others
- High school diploma or equivalent
