Annual Raffle Dinner:  October 15, 2015

Dear friends,
Since 1988, we have conducted our annual appeal in March and April to coincide with the Feinstein Challenge. Mr. Alan Feinstein committed funds annually to soup kitchens and food pantries, but this year is focusing the funds on the Feinstein Jr. Scholars program.

Although we will not be receiving our annual donation from Mr. Feinstein, we hope that you will be as generous as you have in past years. Our need to provide food and basic necessities to the many people who come to us is greater than ever. During this very cold winter, we are serving more hot meals and working with our Coalition to ensure that homeless people have a place to stay. We are providing warm clothing and other basic necessities to people in need.

We are so grateful to each of you for all of your support over the years.  Without your help, it would not be possible for us to carry out our mission to the poor and marginalized. A former client recently wrote: "Because of the help I received from St. Joseph's and your donors, I am no longer in need of your services. For the first time, I am in a position where I can be a donor with the enclosed check."

May we all continue to work for a world where there will be no more hunger or homelessness, where all will have adequate health care and where all can live together in peace. Our love and gratitude are with each of you, as we lift you to God in prayer.

Gratefully,

Sr. Jacinta Fernandes
